The Flemish Ardennes is a hilly region in the south of the Belgian province of East Flanders varying in altitude between 5 and 151 metres. The region is not clearly defined, but usually refers to the arrondissement of Oudenaarde, Wortegem-Petegem, Ronse, Zottegem and Geraardsbergen. The area is officially recognised as the Flemish Ardennes Regional Landscape and is a well-known tourist region. The hill range of the Flemish Ardennes runs across the language border into the Hainaut region of Pays des Collines, which geographically forms a whole with the Flemish Ardennes.
