Nasya Therapy

Nasya

Nose treatment

Also known as the ayurvedic nasal treatment, is a traditional therapy that involves administering medicinal herbal oil, powder, fresh juice, infusion or herbal decoction through the nose. This cleansing treatment is part of the five pancha karma, or classical Ayurvedic cleansing procedures. Nasya has been used for centuries to restore balance and promote vitality.

Nasya

What to expect

Experiencing Nasya

The treatment begins with a relaxing dry Indian head massage. This involves carefully feeling and following the rhythm of the skull, creating a deep state of calm. This is followed by an extensive head and face massage using warm medicinal herbal oil. During this massage, the marma points, also called energetic pressure points, are activated. Then, the nasal and sinus region is prepared using hot stones or a steam bath enriched with herbs. The whole process feels like a restorative journey for the body and mind, where you are completely at peace.
